About Me

My name is Alana Torres-Trinidad and I am proud to be a John Jay Patriot! I am a first year teacher who is excited to learn and grow alongside my students. I have previously worked in the WCSD as a former student teacher and a former substitute teacher. 

I hold my BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and my MS in Secondary Education concentrating in Chemistry, both from the University at Albany. As a Latina and LGBTQ+ member in STEM, I am committed to creating lessons that are culturally-relevant to my students, as well as creating a safe and welcoming learning environment.
