Health Education 7-12
Health Education is required by New York State education law for grades K-12. At the middle school level, students are required to take 20 weeks of the state mandated health education curriculum. Wappingers Central School District has 10 weeks of health at the seventh grade level and 10 weeks at the eighth grade level. At the high school level, students are required to successfully pass a semester of health education as a requirement for graduation.
About me
The 25 -26 school year will be my 28th year teaching, all but one year here in Wappingers. I was in middle school when I knew that I wanted to make a difference in the lives of children, and have a large family of my own. I do have six children, most are grown now but the youngest is an eighth grader. I am a Lifetime Girl Scout, and I was a leader for 20 years. Currently, I volunteer with a non-profit that advocates for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
