Homework is provided to help students stregthen their understanding of concepts taught in class. Homework is not individually graded but completion is required as participation direclty influences academic growth.
Students are required to read for twenty minutes every Monday through Thursday night.
Homework will usually include a math worksheet and may also include a written assignment in language arts, science, or social studies.
Long-term projects may also be assigned. These will include book projects and social studies/science projects.
Unit tests will be announced in advance so that students will have an opportunity to study using resources and/or review activities.
Report Cards are standards-based. Students will receive a grade of:
4.0 - Student is Excelling in Grade Level Standards
3.0 - Student is Proficient in Grade Level Standards
2.0 - Student is Partially Proficient in Grade Level Standards
1.0 - Student is Performing Far Below Proficient in Grade Level Standards
