Homework is provided to help students stregthen their understanding of concepts taught in class. Homework is not individually graded but completion is required as participation direclty influences academic growth.
Students are required to read for twenty minutes every Monday through Thursday night.
Homework will be assigned weekly, consisting of Fundations and Math. It will be sent home at the beginning of each week.
If your child does not have mastery of their addition and subtraction facts, please be sure they practice them at home a few times a week.
Students will always be told about a unit test and given a study guide or review activity to assist in studying. Quizzes occur more frequently and will not always be announced in advance.
Report Cards are standards-based. Students will receive a grade of:
4.0 - Student is Excelling in Grade Level Standards
3.0 - Student is Proficient in Grade Level Standards
2.0 - Student is Partially Proficient in Grade Level Standards
1.0 - Student is Performing Far Below Proficient in Grade Level Standards
