General Information

Arrival and Dismissal:

School hours are 8:25-3:25. Student drop-off begins at 8:15. Pick-up is at 3:10. Buses leave at 3:25.

Attendance:

If your child is absent from school, missed work will be sent home for completion.  Please return the work when finished. One day for each day of absence is allowed to complete.

Please call the school to notify the main office staff if your child has been absent for 2 days.  In addition, please send a signed and dated note giving a reason for your student’s absence when he/she returns to school.

If your student will be picked up for early dismissal or at regular dismissal time, please send a note to school.  This makes the dismissal process work more efficiently.

Birthdays:

We will celebrate birthdays with our class.  If you wish to send in a treat in honor of your student’s birthday, please email me at katherine.smith@wcsdny.org or send me a note before that day to let me know. Birthday treats must be dropped off at the front desk on the day of the celebration.

*Please note that we have a NUT FREE classroom. When sending birthday treats, please include the list of ingredients provided on the package.
