Hi! Welcome to SC 1/2! My name is Mrs. Kemmerer (Most students call me Mrs. K) and I am so excited to be your teacher this year! This will be my 7th year teaching self-contained! I am excited to return to the classroom, as I have been on maternity leave since the end of April after welcoming our first child!!

A little about me, I grew up in Wappingers and graduated from RCK. I attended Mount Saint Mary College for my bachelor's degree in childhood and special ed and recieved my masters in literacy from SUNY Cortland. I am beyond passionate in the field of special education and my goal in the classroom is to create an environment with accessible education, so students can thrive and develop a love for learning. I love keeping an open line of communication with my families and involving them in their child's school life/education. 

Outside of the classroom, I reside in the area of Lagrange with my husband Andrew, our son Grayson and our two cats Bear and Goose (who are brothers from the same litter!)

 I love the color pink! I enjoy watching the Yankees,  working out and shopping at Target and Homegoods/TJ Maxx. I love Dr Pepper, pizza and watermelon sour patch!  Fun fact- I do not like coffee or chocolate!

I am so excited to meet your child in September and have a fun-filled year!
