Syllabus 

Art classes will explore a variety of contemporary art and design concepts, students will be creating art in a variety of media. We will identify and develop visual learning methods and all projects will facilitate the elements and principles of art. We will be expanding on these concepts through a variety of drawing assignments, class discussions and critiques. 

Supplies- All art supplies will be provided in class. No smocks are needed, all the materials we use are washable! 

Classroom Rules-

In order to ensure a safe, positive and productive environment for all students, we will compose ourselves as a classroom community to the following :

1. Follow all safety procedures.

2. Be respectful to staff and other students.

3. Listen to directions and remain quiet during during lecture. 

4. Raise your hand if you need help.

5. Appropriate language and behavior must be used at all times.

6. Remain in your seat until dismissed.

Consequences-

3. Referral

Grading-

Student evaluation will be reflected in the Art Grade as a composite of a student's participation, achievements, and assessments. Students will be given a rubric prior to the beginning of a project. Each project is graded off of the following criteria :

1. Design / Composition

2. Craftsmanship

3. Production / Creativity

4. Class Participation / Effort
