Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year Myers Families! I am ready to make your child’s art class engaging, purposeful, and fun.  I am very much looking forward to seeing all of my students during the first week of school!

Are Special Area Classes Required?

Yes!  Fine and Performing Arts, Library Media Class, and Physical Education are a vital part of your child’s well rounded education at Myers.

How will my child be graded?

Art courses use standards based grading.  Grades are based on formative and summative assessments (observation of skills demonstrated and formal assessments). Do you have questions, concerns? The best way to reach me is by email @ brette.mcarthur@wcsdny.org. I will respond to you as quickly as possible! I will have office hours by appointment if needed, I will be available to answer any questions you have in regards to assignments and/ or supplies. I will try to make everything as simple and as stress free as possible, I am very aware your core subjects are your priority. Let's have a great year!
