At WYWLA, we have a committee that oversees student AIG identification. This committee looks at each student who is nominated and their academic data. As a committee, a decision will be made to further evaluate a student, identify a student, or recommend that a student not be recommended for the AIG department.
At the beginning of the school year, we will look at each child's EOG/EOC scores from the previous year. If a child received a score of 95% or higher on their EOG/EOC and a score of 95% or higher on their previous year's STAR assessments, they may be identified as AIG in the subject area reflected by their scores.
