iNest Club- STEM activities

Met every Tuesday, from 2:30-4:30

Led by staff and students from NCSU. Funds were provided by a grant from Burroughs-Welcome.

The club provided an extracurricular opportunity for students to learn about many different STEM areas. The girls also had the opportunity to attend a workshop on Robotics at the Discovery Place in Charlotte, NC. After a educational and engaging workshop, the girls also got to explore and experience the museum exhibits.

At the end of the 2018-2019 school year, two iPads and a green screen were purchased to provide on-going opportunities to all of our students, through the school library media center. The 8th grade ELA teacher used the new resources to complete several projects. As a result of that collaboration, the principal purchased 10 new iPads for the 2019-2020 school year.
