The School of Business, Management, and Technology, in partnership with the National Football League, is excited to participate in the 2022 Campus Connection Case Study. We are looking to assemble our team! If you are driven and dependable, submit a letter of interest to Dr. Rowe (sdrowe@st-aug.edu) by close of business, Friday, September 2nd.
Innovation and technology are a point of emphasis within every major sports league. Maintaining competitive integrity while implementing new technology is an opportunity the National Football League fully embraces. However, with every technological advancement, there is concern that the integrity of the game will change. Part of the case study team challenge will be to provide innovative solutions to enhance the game without taking away from what makes football the most popular sport in America.
Get off the sideline, and let's be a winning team!
If you are interested in volunteering at the October Early College Magnet Fair please email Mrs. Hicks directly.
Volunteering:
6TH-10TH Grade Wake County Public Libraries offers volunteering opportunities for 6th-10th graders in a program called (TLC) Teen Leadership Corps. At Oberlin Regional I am currently accepting applications for volunteers to help with children's programming and craft prep until mid September. My next two orientation dates are August 25th at 4 pm and September 1 at 5:15 pm in the youth services section of the library. Prospective 6th-10th graders can print and fill out the TLC application to attend.
11TH Grade and Adults Wake County Public Libraries accepts 11th grade and Up volunteers as needed through a separate application. These volunteers are called library ambassadors and work directly with the book collection helping us to shelve items, pull items for requests, and generally helping the "book" side of the library world run. Prospective 11th graders and older can print and fill out the Ambassador application and drop it off at the library.
Teen Programs: Weekly in Person Mondays from 4-5 pm
6th-10th graders are welcome to attend weekly programs especially made for them! Every Monday (excepting federal holidays like Labor Day) we host a teen only program from 4-5 pm. Topics change weekly but you can always find out what's happening on our event calendar found here. Upcoming programs include Marvel vs DC Trivia night, Acrylic Pour Art, Upcycled Flair, and a Mario Kart Tournament. If you would like to post up our weekly program flyers just let me know and I will send them to you in a separate message!
College Virtual Programs and Level Up:
WCPL also offers one-on-one appointments with librarians to help students wade through the decisions, tuition aid options, and essay writing portions of college and higher education paths called Level Up. These can single or multiple appointments as needed and can be signed up for on our website here:https://www.wakegov.com/departments-government/libraries/your-service/level-college-and-beyond

"The Ultimate Guide to the 22'-23' Common App" is offered Sept 8th from 8-9pm, and "New Strategies for a New Cycle of College Admissions" is offered on September 13 from 9-9:45 pm. FAFSA and Financial Aid Workshops are also hosted for free on a semi-regular basis. The next CFNC Financial Aid workshop will be September 14th from 6-7 pm.
