How many books can students check out?
All students can check out up to five books. This means K and 1st, who only check out one to two books at a time, may have up to five books on their account at one time before having to return books.
Why can't I check out five graphic novels?
Our graphic novels are in very high demand and we simply do not have enough for every student to check out as many as they would like to check out. Our current policy is ONE graphic novel per student and four other non graphic novels. Students MUST return the graphic novel before checking out another.
How long can I keep the books I borrow?
Books are due 2 weeks after checkout. Books can be renewed if more time is needed.
What if my book is overdue?
We do not charge overdue fees but students with long overdue books may have borrowing privileges restricted.
What if my book is damaged?
Students should report damage to books as soon as they notice it. Students are responsible for returning library books in good condition. Fines may be charged for damage.
What if I lose my book?
Students will be asked to pay for lost books. The cost is based on the replacement of a library bound book.
What if I pay for a book and then I find it?
Refunds are not available at this time. Previously paid money will become a donation to the library.
