Resources & Services:

Over 20,000 Books & Reference Materials.

Access to the Follett Destiny Discover database.


Circulation Policies:

Students may checkout  up to five books at a time.

Materials are checked out for three weeks.

Overdue materials must be returned before additional books are borrowed; however, if needed longer they can be renewed.

There are no overdue fines or fees.

A replacement fee is charged only for lost or damaged materials.

No limit for number of books checked out to teachers.

Overdue notices are emailed on a regular basis.


Procedures:

A class may visit the library with a teacher, or students may visit in groups of up to four.

A pass is required for individuals or small groups during class time.

A pass is not necessary before or after school.

Students must sign-in at lunch time.


Class Research Projects & Collaborative Instruction:

Sign up for research time in advance.

Start and end the block in the classroom.

Share written description of the activity or assignment with the media staff.

Remind students to cite sources of information.

Plan to stay with your class.

Reschedule in the event you need a substitute teacher.


Student Expectations:

Come with a purpose.

Use a quiet voice.

Show respect for others.

Take care of the space.

Clean workspace before leaving.

Return materials to designated areas.

Follow safety protocols.
