Altered Book Project
Students reflect on all the techniques and processes previously learned to creatively make an altered book artwork over several weeks. Students watch several videos and see reference materials to guide them through each book project
Project 1- Students are creating a block out poem from text in a book relating the imagery with the text
Project 2-Future Career- Students represent their future career in an illustration using overlapping
Project 3- Zentangle 1- Students work with pattern in pen, focusing on composition and containing imagery within a border based on a word prompt
Project 4- Zentangle 2- Students work with pen to create a 2nd Zentagle using organic edges in an artwork based on a word prompt
Project 5- Scientific Illustration- Students utilize reference materials to create detailed Scientific Illustrations of Plants, Birds or Insects.
