Quarter 1:
This quarter, students will dive into the world of poetry! We will use the novel "Love That Dog" by Sharon Creech, along a variety of other poems, to study the structure of poetry and the beauty behind the words. Students will feel comfortable reading and writing their own poetry. During NEST enrichment centers, students will have additional practice with these poetry skills as well as developing their fluency, vocabulary, writing, and small group instruction.
