Check Out Policies
How many books may I check out at a time, and how long may I keep the books?
Kindergarten & First Grade: 1 book Second grade: 2 books
Third - Fifth grades: 3 books Parents: 5 books
Students may keep their book(s) for a 2-week period. Books not returned within that 2-week period become overdue. Student patron accounts should be kept current to continue checking out books. If a book is damaged or lost, it should be paid for in order for the media center to replace it.
My book is due, but I have not finished reading it. May I keep the book longer? A book may be renewed one time. Books are renewed at the circulation desk and returned to the student for additional time.
Hours
When is the Library Media Center open? The WES Library Media Center is open from 8:45 am until 3:45 pm each day. Many of our resources are available for "at-home" access using Destiny online catalog. Our library media specialist, Mrs. Bateman, can often be found staying beyond our 3:45pm closing time. Thus if you need to access the media center as a family after school one day, please contact Mrs. Bateman at sbateman@wcpss.net or by calling the school.
