Studies have shown that 7 minutes of math practice each day is effective for most students. Math Homework will be a practice of skills already taught in the classroom. If your child is having difficulty, please let me know so I can provide additional help at school.
The effectiveness of homework, especially in younger elementary grades, has been discussed recently in the academic world, as well as in the media. While time spent reading is strongly correlated with academic growth, I hope your child can spend the rest of their evenings playing games, exploring hobbies, or practicing sports without the stress of large amounts of homework. I will try to honor your family time by keeping homework to a minimum. If you have questions or concerns about homework please feel free to let me know!
