If you want digital or hard copies of any of these files, please message Ms. Casey or Ms. Edsall via TalkingPoints to request them. They will be filed in the back of your student's cumulative record in a folder for AIG paperwork.
This is a consent form from the WCPSS AIG Department for testing (CogAt, Iowa, RIST, WJIV).
This form explains what the AIG Program is, as well as Talent Development. In short, if a student doesn't qualify and the school team believes a student is likely to in the future, they are in Talent Development and receive equivalent services. We evaluate their portfolios three times a year and the process is ongoing unless they qualify.
Individual Student Profile. This is a lot like an IEP (Individualized Education Plan). It states whether a student is recommended gifted services and should be honored at any federally funded school in the United States. The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) supports this right.
Differentiated Education Plan. This form is used within WCPSS to define how specific students receive services.
The selections are determined by the School Based Committee for Gifted Education.
