To record hours, regardless if the hour opportunity is online or in-person, you must fill out the paper hour sheet. If the opportunity is in-person, you must get a signature from either an officer or supervisor at each opportunity. For most volunteer opportunities, time spent volunteering = number of hours to record on hour sheet. If the opportunity is online, members must fill out the paper hour sheet (put "online" where it asks for a signature) and the Online Hours Form, explaining what you accomplished. The Online Hours Form can be found under the "links" of each online opportunity.
Please print the hours sheet, click here for the pdf download. If you do not have access to a printer at home, you can print it in the library or contact an officer.
If you have a service opportunity and would like for it to be reviewed as sponsored, please fill out this form.

Wakefield Elementary School is accepting volunteers! This program is going to be set up so high school students can provide classroom help to teachers and students at the elementary school. After you submit your application, it will be carefully considered and reviewed. People chosen for the program will be assigned to a teacher and given the means to communicate directly with the teacher to schedule times to come in and help. As of right now, there are no set days that you will be expected to come in (ex. every helper having to come in every Thursday). Instead, your schedule will be based on your communication with the teacher. You have the freedom to work it around your schedule. However, you will be expected to be available fairly consistently. We understand if you can't make it work all the time, but you should aim to be available at least once a week. Communication is key, make sure you are regularly messaging with the teacher you are assigned to, and letting them know ahead of time if you won't be available.
If you're interested, please complete this interest form. We'll email you with updates in the future!
If you are under 18 you will need to fill out three forms:
Participant Agreement and Parent Certification
Consent Form (for parent/guardian)
Please make sure you fill these forms before you complete this application and send them to volunteers@wcpss.net. If you are 18 years or older you will need to register as a Wake County Public Schools volunteer. You can register here. For more information on either, please look at the Wake County Public Schools website. You will not be permitted to help in the elementary school unless these forms are completed.
