Composers Team

While this is my first year at East Millbrook, I have been in the teaching game for ten years. My love of reading and writing brought me to fall in love with the subject of English and my joy in life is helping students find their own unique connection to the subject. Outside of ELA, I have also taught theatre and dance in various studios and theaters around the country. I love choreographing shows, and enjoy performing in various classic plays like Shakespeare, Jane Austen inspired plays, and the occasional musical!

6th Grade Math Teacher. Math has been a passion of mine since I was in elementary school. Math is the only language that is shared by all civilizations. I have a wide range of experience teaching math that extends from 3rd grade through 12th grade and adult education. Since discovering 6th graders, I have added them to my list of passions! This is my fourth year teaching at East Millbrook Middle. I enjoy observing my 6th grade students as they evolve and grow through the middle school years. When I have free time, I spend it with my family and friends. I like going to the beach, reading and trying new things.

6th grade Science Teacher. I have been teaching for a total of 18 years. This is my 8th year at East Millbrook. I like to apply Science to everyday life so students can make connections. I am one of the assistant football coaches here at East Millbrook and I enjoy anything athletic but I also enjoy music, the arts and going to Broadway shows.

6th grade English Teacher. I have been teaching for a total of 8 years. This is my 4th year at East Millbrook. I enjoy reading during my summers for fun and reading what students are interested in during the school year. Outside the building I enjoy playing sports, walking my dogs, and going to plays.

6th grade Math Teacher. I have been teaching for a total of nearly 34 years. This is my 21st year at East Millbrook. Math is one of those subjects that shows up in everyday life. I like to make connections for students wherever I can. I have two grown children and have been married for almost 27 years.

6th grade Social Studies Teacher. This is my second year here at East Millbrook, previously I lived and taught in Georgia. I get the most enjoyment from teaching and discussing history as it relates to current events. Outside the classroom, my passions include: watching movies, playing video games, and participating in sports.

6th grade ELA teacher. I’ve worked with many different grades/subjects and 6th grade is by far my favorite. I enjoy incorporating the arts into my lessons and seeing my student’s creativity shine through. My hobbies include volunteering, traveling and spending time with my family.

6th grade CCR Math Teacher. I have been working in the school system for 6 years, originally from Baltimore, Maryland. This is my first year at East Millbrook Magnet Middle School. I’m a dad of two, a six-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old son so I enjoy spending lots of time with my family. Also, I love to play and watch sports during my free time.” Math may not teach us how to ADD love and SUBTRACT hate, but it gives us hope that every PROBLEM has a SOLUTION.”

6th grade Instructional Assistant. I have been teaching for 14 years, and this is my 3rd year teaching at East Millbrook. I help students achieve their educational goals, by assisting students with finding their learning style by utilizing different teaching methods and materials. I also look forward to building relationships with students and their families.
