All About Me

My name is Missy Laster and I have been teaching AIG at Turner Creek Elementary for the past 13 years. In 2012, I received my master's degree in Gifted Education from Elon University.

I have three wonderful sons, Walker 25, Chase 20, and Tanner 16. All three of my children attended Turner Creek as Elementary students. I am so proud and excited to be part of the Turner Creek Family!

I am a very avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks. I grew up in a very small town in rural Arkansas, my graduating class only had about 32 students in it. I moved to the Raleigh area in the early 90s. After teaching Middle School for a couple of years I decided to stay home and be with my boys when they were small. I returned to the classroom in 2007 at Turner Creek.
