Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band
At the end of the marching season (in late October/early November), the Marching Infantry of sound splits into two upper-level concert bands in order to accommodate all students of varying abilities and interest levels. The Wind Ensemble prepares advanced literature and performs at several concerts throughout the year, including the NC Music Performance Assessment (MPA). Symphonic Band prepares intermediate to advanced literature and performs at several concerts throughout the year, including NC Music Performance Assessment (MPA). NOTE: When considering enrollment numbers for the 2023-2024 school year, Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band may be combined into one ensemble.
