For the first quarter, your child will be sent home with a sheet of multiplication flash cards each week. Please review these flash cards for 5 minutes each night. With your help, we can get your child to move past having to skip count to answer these facts. Their ability to accurately solve these math facts will be instrumental in their success in math this year (and for years to come)! Make a game out of it by timing them each night.

For my three children, we would make a game out of it when traveling on road trips. They loved seeing if they could be their last time. I would also just throw out facts while driving in the car around town. My youngest began knowing his facts in second grade because of wanting to participate in the "game" with his siblings.
