Math Highlights-On Monday students will take their assessment on shapes. They will be expected to identify quadrilaterals. They will also be expected to draw and name a shape when given clues regarding the number of sides and angles. We will complete the second grade summative tests and review all of the content this year. It would be great over the summer to review and practice addition and subtraction facts and you can also introduce them to multiplication facts through twelve.
Science - Students are sharing the life cycle research they have completed and their representation of one animal's life cycle.
Letterland Highlights- Our last unit of study will be number 31 which focuses on contractions. They will learn that contractions come about when we run words together in speech squeezing out some of the sounds. Our tricky words are: hour and been. Ask your child if they can identify what is tricky about the word.
