Math Highlights- Students will be introduced to the concept of arrays, which is an arrangement of objects in rows and columns. Students will be on the lookout for arrays in the real world, if you see any point them out! For example, an egg carton is an array. They will learn to write the repeated addition sentence to match the array. There will be two equations for each array (unless it's a square), based on rows and columns.
Social Studies - Students will learn about about the Preamble of the United States Constitution and its purpose and principles. They will be introduced to the seven articles of the Constitution.
Letterland Highlights- We will study unit 10, which will introduce students to more vowel teams. The vowel teams covered will be - ai, -ay, - oa, and -ow. They will also complete the tri-weekly test for units 7-9. It is helpful to have them review the concepts covered in those units as well as the tricky words.
