Ms. Anderson

Hello! My name is Abby Anderson, and I am thrilled to be starting my 6th year of teaching! Throughout my career, I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades, and I am so excited to begin another wonderful year of learning and growth with your child.

I am originally from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, but I grew up in Holly Springs, North Carolina. I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Appalachian State University, a place that holds a special spot in my heart. I also have two younger sisters who attended Appalachian. One recently graduated, and the other is entering her junior year. They love visiting and helping in the classroom, so you may see them around throughout the year!

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending cozy nights at home reading and crafting, relaxing at the beach, and exploring new side hustles. Most recently, I became a licensed nail technician! I love all things girly, but I'm also a huge sports fan. I grew up playing softball and continue to play in an adult league today.

One of my greatest passions is reading education. I believe that books open doors to new ideas, experiences, and opportunities, and I cannot wait to dive into so many engaging and meaningful texts with our class this year.

I am incredibly excited to meet your child and partner with your family. I look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and success as we work together to make this a positive and memorable school year!
