Students will go on Major Clarity and reflect on how to create a 4 year plan for High School. Students will then be asked to practice by entering courses they anticipate to take in High School (Please note that this is planning, NOT registration! Students will receive registration packet during this presentation to prepare to register for classes in March.
Effective for the 2024-2025 school year, state law requires students beginning in 8th grade to have a Career Development Plan. The plan must include an assessment of the student's career interests aligned with academic and extracurricular goals. WCPSS has selected MajorClarity as the tools for the development of the Career Development Plans in accordance with N.C. General Statute 115C-158.10.

Students who were unable to complete their high school registration session in class or whom need to make any corrections will be pulled individually or as a group during their elective class or lunch period to register for their high school courses before the deadline.
