Meet the Teacher

Hello! I'm Lexie Higgins.

This is my second year at River Bend Middle School teaching ESL 1. Before River Bend, I taught English classes in 4th-12th grades in Spain. Living in a new country with a new language is scary, and I completely understand. I think my students are the bravest!

I studied language, literature, and culture with a concentration in education at Appalachian State University.

I love being in the mountains, especially hiking and kayaking.
