ESL- Advanced Language Support is a class designed to help students strengthen their use of the English language through reading, writing, speaking and listening. This will be a one semester (½ year) elective course. The ultimate goal of ESL is to help students develop reading and writing skills to help them exit from the ESL program. I am also here for core classroom support and will be helping students in their other classes.

We will be working mainly on reading and writing this year. First quarter will be focus on reading skills including using context clues and vocabulary. Students will be required to actually READ a BOOK. Please help support them in this.

Second quarter we will be focused on improving writing skills. We will spend a lot of time working on essay writing and practicing and preparing for the ACCESS test.

The ACCESS test will be given during the 3rd Quarter (February or March).
