English Language Arts

Welcome to English Language Arts with Mr. Sullivan

This year we will be following the EL Education Curriculum to guide our English Language Arts learning. The curriculum focuses on active learning using collaboration, novel studies, and conversations and investigations of texts and topics. We will have several writing and short response assignments where students engage with a text to respond to complex questions, using text evidence to support their claims. Students will read several books this year all focused around our four main units. These books will be the primary texts we pull from in classes. Our first book this year is Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.
