Week of January 24th:

Good afternoon!

I hope you are all enjoying the easy start of second semester for your students. We have hit the ground running and your student should have finished their Guided Notes for Unit 1.1, and the first notebook and quiz in Unit 1.1. Not every student has turned these 2 items in. Our curriculum is all online and there is no special software needed. Please encourage your student to keep up with the work.

You can make a parent account on Canvas to keep up with how your student is doing. Plus, my class website is: https://sites.google.com/wcpss.net/programming2021

This will have current and past assignments on it.

Meet the Teacher night is going to be February 3rd. I look forward to having a good semester with your student!

Week of February 14th:

Good Afternoon!

We have finished 1/4 of this current semester! šŸ˜³

Please check your student's grades. This week is "interim week". Your students are testing tomorrow, so the grades will change a little, but several of them are behind in their work or did not turn in work on time. Please encourage your student to do homework if their grade is low.

Thank you to those who attended the spring "Meet the Teacher Night". I enjoyed meeting with you. Please fill out this survey if you haven't already so that we can improve the experience.

Week of March 14th:

Good morning!

The end of third quarter is next week (March 25th). All make up work for Python Programming I is due by March 23rd. They should not cram all their late work in during the last week of the quarter, but many of them do. Please encourage your student to do homework at night or the weekends to catch up. Some of them have fallen behind.

We will be having in person and virtual Parent/Teacher conferences Thursday, March 31st from 6-8 pm. There will be more information about how to schedule a conference coming out later. We do not have to wait until then to talk, though. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you for helping your student succeed!
