Third Grade was introduced to the artist Sonia Delaunay. Sonia Delaunay created art using a variety of shapes included circles. Students explored using a compass to create their compositions.
Third Grade was introduced to the artist Wayne Thiebaud. Inspired by his paintings of desserts students created their own decorated cake slice.
Fifth Grade Clay Ecosystems
Students were introduced to the artist Rachel Ignotofsky and her ecosystems in a jar. Students created their own ecosystem in clay using a small closed container.

5th Grade Miniature Ecosystems
5th graders used their creativity to create an ecosystem of their choice.
Gifts of Gold
Gifts of Gold visual arts display is held annually in conjunction with Pieces of Gold, a performing arts extravaganza that was held on March 1, 2023. Gifts of Gold is co-sponsored by the office of Raleigh Arts and the City of Raleigh Arts Commission.
Ava, a 5th grader's painting was selected from PME, congratulations!!!!!
2nd Grade Snow globes
Second grade got into the winter spirit creating their own snow globe featuring a snowperson. They also practiced shading.
Fifth Grade has been learning about and exploring the many different Gargoyles and Grotesques at City College in New York. They have created their own interesting creatures inspired by the gargoyles and grotesques found at the college.

4th Grade has been learning about the art of Face Jugs. These jugs have been found in Georgia, South and North Carolina. Pictured are some of their own face jug designs inspired by traditional works.
