Marbles Museum Exhibition
fourth grade was introduced to the artist Kara Walker and her silhouettes.
Focusing on the North Carolina Landscape, students created their own Silhouettes.

We have six students who will have artwork exhibited at the state fair this year!

Kindergarten is celebrating the Fall season with some owls at night!

We started off the school year creating some beautiful art for the Frolic!

Fourth Grade practiced a variety of techniques to create their winter cardinal paintings.

State Fair Artwork!!!

Students designs coffee sleeves for our local Starbucks. They were going to pass them out for Kindness day.

2nd Grade created a city and then designed the flag that represents their city.

Students work exhibited November and December. Students also made ornaments for their two trees.

Gargoyles and Grotesques
Fifth grade studied the history of gargoyles and grotesques. Inspired by the art they viewed, the students created their own gargoyle or grotesque.

4th Grade Still-life

4th Grade Clay Suns
September 15th-October 15th is Hispanic Heritage Month. Students were introduced to the clay suns made by artists in Mexico. Inspired by this colorful suns, students created their own suns out of clay .

3rd Grade
In ELA 3rd Grade has been studying and researching Zimbabwe.  In art, students learned more about Zimbabwe, its culture, land and the animals. Focusing on elephants and how they are endangered due to poaching students created their own elephant drawings.
