Mrs. McKinney visits classrooms or pulls small groups of students to work together on specific math or reading standards.
We would LOVE your help with K-2 Nurturing Projects! Please contact Mrs. McKinney if you are available and interested in helping!
Students in grades K-2 can be identified for AIG services. The School Based Committee for Gifted Education (SBCGE) will meet to determine if nominated students will be referred for additional testing or services. Students considered for AIG Services are often working 1½ to 2 years above grade level. Students can be nominated for reading and/or math.
Identified K-2 students receive differentiated curriculum and instruction in language arts and/or mathematics within the general education setting. Options may include cluster grouping, flexible grouping, and a variety of extension and enrichment activities. Mrs. McKinney supports classroom teachers of K-2 students enrolled in the AIG Program. Services will begin in the semester following their identification.
