We are currently using EL Education for our Language Arts curriculum. EL Education is a curriculum written by and for teachers with emphasis placed on active learning and student engagement. Classrooms are structured with highly collaborative activities that allow students to engage in academic conversations and investigations of rich academic topics. EL aims to contribute to a student’s ability to be globally competitive and active contributors in building a better world.
We do not have an official mathematics program for elementary students in Wake County. We will utilize district provided lessons as well as resources that we have found online for our math instruction this year.

We do not have official Science or Social Studies programs for elementary students in Wake County. We will utilize district provided lessons as well as resources from county purchased Science Kits for our instruction. We will also supplement instruction with resources we have created or found online as well. When possible, we will also utilize Project Based Learning to encourage students to take charge of their learning.
