Hey there Flyers! My name is Mrs. Kelber.  This is my 5th year at Pleasant Grove and I'm excited to see you in 4th grade!

I am originally from Arkansas, but being a military child, we traveled A LOT! I've called Missouri, Arkansas, Alaska, Mississippi, Germany, Delaware, Florida and North Carolina home.  I am a graduate of Western Governor's University with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies.  Some of my favorite things are traveling with my family, our dogs Birdie and Goose, reading A LOT, goats and alpacas. 

I look forward to this adventure with you as a #fourthgradeflyer.

Welcome to 4th Grade!  

Hi, Flyers! I'm Mrs. White Lawson, and I can’t wait to be your 4th-grade teacher this year! I’ve been teaching elementary school for 22 years, and I truly believe that education can change lives, big or small. 

I’m from the beautiful Sunshine City of Jamaica, Greater Portmore. I graduated from the International University of the Caribbean with a Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education. 

I have fun reading, researching, and playing outdoor games. Whenever I get the chance, I love exploring the beautiful attractions in Jamaica especially with family and friends. I'm super excited to embark on my first adventurous year at Pleasant Grove as a #fourthgradeflyer!

Hi flyers! My name is Mrs. East and I have been teaching since 2006. Most of my teaching career has been spent in Third Grade, and I am SUPER EXCITED to be teaching 4th grade again this year! I have been at Pleasant Grove Elementary since we opened in 2016 and truly love working with the great staff here. My lifelong dream has always been to teach and I LOVE every minute of what I do!

I am originally from Greenville, North Carolina and moved to Durham after I got married. I graduated from East Carolina University with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and my Masters in Mathematics Education. I love to cheer on the Pirates whenever I get the chance! In my spare time I also love to watch baseball and cheer on the Durham Bulls, and loved having the chance to see my younger brother play baseball for his college teams, as well as in the Frontier Independent Baseball league! I love going to see shows at the DPAC whenever I get the chance.

I am looking forward to another great year here at Pleasant Grove as a #fourthgradeflyer!
