The Wakefield High School learning community strives to provide a relevant and engaging learning environment aimed at graduating all students with college and career ready skills that will allow them to be lifelong learners and productive citizens.
Wakefield High School will provide a relevant and engaging education and will graduate students who are collaborative, creative, effective communicators and critical thinkers.
Students engage in academic remediation and/or acceleration activities to ensure satisfactory and on-time academic progress is being made.
Academic activities help students achieve their full potential by offering a wide variety of study opportunities and academic topics students can explore. Non-academic opportunities help build interpersonal skills and provide students with time to express their creativity, practice something they love, or learn a new skill.
Students engage in non-academic activities to build, participate in, and become part of the school community. Through participation in clubs and various opportunities to interact with others who have similar interests, students build communication and collaboration skills.
Through engaging in academic and non-academic activities on campus, students will develop skills that will encourage lifelong learning, high academic achievement, and community with others.
