Grade 2 Quarters 3 & 4, after AIG screening is complete (All 2nd Graders are screened for the AIG program during Quarter 2.)

Designed for students who quickly demonstrate mastery of Math and/or ELA content and require enrichment of those standards
Projects designed to foster critical thinking, creative analysis, individualized problem solving and mindful reflection.
Nominations for AIG testing for Grades 3, 4 and 5 take place at the start of Quarter 1 and Quarter 3
Caregivers should conference with their child's teacher before nominating their 3rd, 4th or 5th Grader for AIG testing.
Teachers will share AIG nomination link with families in nomination is data-supported.
Acceleration Options:
moving advanced learners from content they "already know" into "new-to-them" standards one grade level ahead
SSA
Acceleration into next grade-level standards in Math OR ELA
Enrolled Kindergarteners through Grade 5
Acceleration of one year ahead in Math or ELA
Qualifying students are enrolled in Math or ELA class one grade level above their homeroom
Designed for students who immediately demonstrate mastery of Math or ELA content and require acceleration in that area
Students fully engage with the curriculum one grade level ahead of their homeroom grade level in Math or ELA
Nominations for SSA testing take place at the start of Quarter 3
Caregivers should conference with their child's teacher before nominating their child for SSA testing.
Caregiver should carefully review the Parent Information slides and, if possible, attend the virtual SSA Parent Info session in January before nominating their child for SSA.

WGA
Acceleration into next grade-level based on academic & social/emotional data
Enrolled Kindergarteners through Grade 5
Acceleration of one year ahead in all subject areas
Qualifying students are enrolled in class one grade level ahead
Designed for students whose data-demonstrated mastery of Math and ELA content matches their motivation and emotional maturity.
Students placed into the next grade should achieve at the same level as the top students in the next grade.
Nominations for WGA are accepted during the first half of the year, as WGA placements for the current school year must have all data collected and school-based data review committee meetings held no later than day 135. After day 135, data collection and SBCGE meetings can be initiated for potential placement during the following academic year.
Caregivers should conference with their child's teacher before nominating their child for WGA testing.
