How to prepare for the assessment:

• If your child does not have a school issued device, you will need to download Istation (see directions below).

• Your child will need to know or have access to his/her Student Number (same as lunch number).

• When your child is taking the assessment, please have him/her sit in a quiet environment where he/she can focus and hear the program (free from distractions).

• Please do not assist your child with the assessment so that your child's teacher can have a true understanding of your child's instructional needs.

There are step by step links and videos below for you if needed. Please do not have your child begin before the teacher has instructed him/her to do so because the system will automatically assume he/she is ready for their assessment.

** If you are having trouble downloading Istation on a personal Chromebook while logged to the student's WakeID/email, please follow the following instructions:

What parents/students need to do:

1. Sign in to the personal (not WCPSS) chromebook on a personal account

You may need to add a user to the Chromebook, if only the school account is on there. Here's how:

• If you're signed in to your Chromebook, sign out. (click on the time in lower right corner)

• On the bottom, click Add person.

• Enter the Google Account email address and password, then click Next.

• Follow the steps that appear.

2. Then, follow these instructions for downloading istation on a chromebook. (Same as above.)

Next (I know, it's a lot!) sign out of the personal account and back in with the WakeID account and Istation will be available.
