Here's an idea for a Drop Zone.

Possible Materials: paper towel tubes, toilet paper tubes or a wrapping paper tube, tape

House of Cards Challenge

Easter Bunny Trap

Possible materials: blocks, legos, shoebox, cards

The kinders just finished reading "How to Trap a Leprechaun." We talked about the word bait and used gold pennies to lure the leprechaun in. Listen to How to Catch the Easter Bunny and then build your own trap. Use whatever materials you have around the house. What bait would you use to catch a bunny? How did you LURE it in?

Paper Bridge

Materials: paper, books

Create a bridge between 2 stacks of books using a SINGLE sheet of paper. The bridge should be able to hold 10 crayons. The paper must rest on top of the books (not between the books or the pages). Use only the materials listed above.

Boat Challenge

Possible Materials: foil, paper plates, paper cups, styrofoam plates

Have you ever wondered what makes a ship float? (Click here.) Use any materials you have at home to make a boat. Test to see how many passengers (pennies!) your boat can hold!

Paper Chain Challenge

Materials: 1 piece of construction paper, glue stick, ruler, scissors

How can you make the longest paper chain? Think about it first. (Planning is so important.) How will you cut the paper? Will you make small, medium or large links?
