Checkout Policies

Students visit the media center as a special every 6 days to have a lesson and to check out books. If they are unable to check out due to an overdue or surpassing their book limit, they will get a reminder note home.

Overdue/Lost Books: Notices will be emailed every Friday.

Students and families can check the status for overdue materials in Destiny Discover using these directions. 

There are no fines for overdue books, but the replacement cost for books must be provided if they are lost or damaged beyond repair. All payments must be paid online here. Please confirm with Mrs. Vaughn, rvaughn@wcpss.net, before submitting a payment for lost or damaged media center books. If payment is provided and a lost book is found, we are unable to provide you with a refund. The student may keep the book or donate it to the media center.
