This year, we will be using a color-coded written response structure to help us organize written responses. This structure allows students to make sure they are answering all parts of an open-ended question, as well as allows for more critical-thinking.

Here is a list of transition words that you can use to strengthen your writing.  

This site is great for finding synonyms easily.  Students can use this to replace common words with more descriptive ones. 

This site is great for looking up the meaning of unfamiliar words.  

This site is great for searching for books based on a reading level, genre, subject or grade level.  In addition, you can also find books based on the title, author, or  keyword.
