Mid-Unit 2 Assessment: Summarizing Events in a Chapter: Students read a new chapter of The Hope Chest and answer questions about similes, metaphors, idioms, adages, proverbes, relative pronouns, and relative adverbs.

Module Performance Task: Taking Action Project Press Release
Students share their action plan by writing a press release. In the press release, students report their plan, explaining what they did, when and where it occurred, the results, and the impact.
