The Little Mermaid Jr.

Merna is a 5^th grader in Ms. Rogers’ class. Merna plays the piano and has many pets, including 2 dogs and 2 fish. She lives with her mom and her dad and her 2 sisters and sleeps on the top bunk because she shares a room with her sister. Merna want you to know that all her friends are wacky and crazy, yet people still call her the "weird one."

Arthav is a 5^th grader in Ms. Rogers' class at Cedar Fork Elementary. Arthav has been a member of the SingRays show choir since 4^th grade. He loves to play soccer, badminton, learn karate, and is also learning how to play guitar. Arthav is grateful to his parents and teachers for encouraging him during The Little Mermaid Jr.

Riya is a 5^th grader in Ms. Rogers’ class at Cedar Fork Elementary. Riya was in the Cedar Fork Singers in 4^th grade and now she is a member of the SingRays show choir and she sang a solo at their first concert. Outside of school, Riya has never performed in a musical. She does Indian classical dancing called Bharatanatyam and she plays tennis and basketball. Riya has even traveled to Wilmington to play in a state championship game in tennis. Riya would like to shout out to Ms. Budway and Ms. Martinez for being great teachers in show choir and the musical!

ZyAnn is a 3^rd grader in Ms. Lightfoot’s class. She likes to sing and dance with her mom and her dog. Her dog’s name is King. ZyAnn also enjoys playing Xbox with her friends, playing basketball, and her favorite game is Uno. This is ZyAnn’s first time being in a play!

Owen is a 3^rd grader in Ms. Behnke’s class at Cedar Fork Elementary. Owen is celebrating his debut in The Little Mermaid Jr. Outside of school he enjoys playing baseball, hockey, basketball, and is a big Carolina Hurricanes and Panthers fan. Owen would like to thank Ms. Budway and Ms. Martinez for this opportunity and his parents, twin sisters, peers, and everyone’s support.

Omkar is a 5^th grader in Ms. Irwin’s class. He has performed in the SingRays show choir in Cedar Fork. He has also participated in All County Chorus and Science Olympiad. Outside of school Omkar plays cricket, sings Hindustani classical music, and takes piano lessons. He loves science and math a lot and is very smart, funny, friendly, and cool. Omkar wants to thank his amazing family and teachers for supporting him and helping him in enriching and nurturing his talent. He is one of the best male singers that you can find!

Nikolai is a 5^th grader in Ms. DiFruscio’s class. He is witty, rambunctious, and always keeps his directors and musical cast laughing at every rehearsal. Nikolai is making his acting debut as King Triton in The Little Mermaid Jr. Like most kids, Nikolai spends a lot of time on the internet or hanging out with friends, but he also loves to run.

Lily is a 3^rd grader in Ms. Eisen’s class. Her favorite color is green and she is 8 years old. Lily loves singing and is excited to be playing a Mersister in The Little Mermaid Jr!

Paprika is a 5^th grader in Ms. Hughes’ class at Cedar Fork Elementary and is a performer in the SingRays show choir. Outside of school, Paprika performs with the Cary Ballet Company and also loves to play piano, dance, and make music and art. Paprika wants to thank her amazing family, teachers, and friends for supporting her in The Little mermaid Jr. Ms. Budway and Ms. Martinez are very thankful for Paprika taking on so many roles and responsibilities!

Brooke is a 5^th grader in Ms. Irwin’s class. She did gymnastics for a year and can sing very well. In fact, she is a member of The SingRays show choir! She loves being on the stage and loves her family too.

Emma is in the 3^rd grade in Ms. Annas’ class. Outside of school she loves to do gymnastics and play football with her older brother from time to time. Emma would like to shout out her mom and dad for supporting her through this play!

Sailee is a 5^th grader in Ms. Irwin’s class and she loves music! She plays piano, flute, and different drums. Sailee goes to music classes and sings in the SingRays show choir at Cedar Fork. She would like to thank her other mersisters and her family for helping her out!

Ainsley is a 5^th grader in Mrs. Brewer’s class. Outside of school she likes to do gymnastics. In school she is in the SingRays and The Little Mermaid Jr. Ms. Budway and Ms. Martinez are very grateful for Ainsley's excitement to always step in and cover any role for performers who were absent from rehearsals or performances. Ainsley would like her parents, grandparents, and her brother to be recognized for supporting her throughout all of this!

Arianna is a 5^th grader in Ms. Irwin’s class. Her favorite subject is history and her best friend is Sneha. Arianna loves to sing and dance. She was voted best female singer by her peers in chorus last year and was in the first ever SingRays show choir. She has performed as Cruella De Ville in 101 Dalmations Kids and Li’l Inez in Hairspray Jr. Arianna’s parents go to every single performance and her grandparents watch every show. In her free time, she loves to sing, act, and dance, and she hopes you enjoy the show!

Adrika is a 3^rd grader in Ms. Webb’s class and is starring in her first musical as Flounder! Outside of school Adrika takes art, piano, swimming, ballet , tap, and jazz class. She would like to shout out her parents for all their support!

Arianna is a 5^th grader in Ms. Brewer’s class. She loves dancing, singing, acting, and running. In fact, she has danced ballet and jazz for 4 years! In addition, Arianna has also played the violin and golf for 4 years. Arianna has been in the SingRays show choir for two years and wants to thank her family and friends. She is very happy that she can be a part of The Little Mermaid Jr!

Palak is in Ms. Westmoreland’s 4^th grade class. She is 9 years old. Palak loves gymnastics and acting. The Little Mermaid Jr. is the second play she has been in. Palak wants to shout out her family for supporting her in The Little Mermaid Jr.

Harshini is a 5^th grader in Ms. DiFruscio’s class at Cedar Fork Elementary. Harshini has been in the Cedar Fork Singers chorus and she likes to read tons of books and draw cute pictures. She enjoys listening to music and going to track. Harshini likes to play with her friends and she is ready to do her best in The Little Mermaid Jr.

Sneha is in 5^th grade in Ms. Irwin’s class. She is funny, sassy, and fun. She also loves her family and friends who support her to sing, dance, and act. Sneha thanks her best friend Anna who is with her in the SingRays show choir. Sneha loves her teacher, Ms. Irwin, because she also supports her to work hard. Her brother is always there to tell her to keep going.

Nidhi is a 5^th grader in Ms. Roger’s class at Cedar Fork Elementary. She is in the SingRays show choir and plays a seagull in The Little Mermaid Jr. Outside of school, Nidhi does gymnastics, volleyball, and dance. She loves cooking, baking, and much, much more. Nidhi wants to give a shout out to her family and friends for supporting her.

Kingshuk is a 5^th grader in Ms. Higginbotham’s class. He is a 1^st degree black belt in taekwondo and has read all the Harry Potter books and the Lemoncello Series. Kingshuk has performed previously in Romeo and Juliet. He wants to shout out his family and friends for supporting him in his performance of The Little Mermaid Jr.

Tara is in 4^th grade in Ms.Ripley’s class. She is 11 years old and her birthday is in January. She has been a gymnast for 1 year but started when she was 3, then quit for a while. She studies Indian music and is on a high level. She wants to give a shout out to Ms. Budway and Ms. Martinez and her family and friends for supporting her through The Little Mermaid Jr.

Niambi is a phenomenal 5^th grader in Ms. Higginbotham’s class. Niambi is an outstanding singer and great actress. Her favorite subject is science. Niambi loves her teachers: Ms. Higginbotham, Ms. DiFruscio, Ms. Budway, and Ms. Martinez, and she loves her family and friends. When she grows up, Niambi wants to be a singer, dancer, actress, model, and have her own fashion line. She will do everything in her power to make this dream happen!

Adi is in 5^th grade in Ms. Irwin’s class. He loves food, games, soccer, and basketball! Adi tries his best most of the time and tries to make others proud. He supports his peers! Adi tries his best and loves his friends.

Lilli is in 3^rd grade in Ms. Annas’ class. In her free time she likes to do gymnastics. Lilli loves that her mom supports her by saying, "you can do it!" and "you're doing great!" Lilli is making her debut in theater as Jetsam in The Little Mermaid Jr.

Briana is a 5^th grader in Ms, Hughes’ class at Cedar Fork Elementary and the Little Mermaid Jr. is her first performance. Briana is very skilled in reading and loves to solve math problems. Outside of school she participates in taekwondo and tumbling. Briana enjoys listening to BTS, eating food, and hanging out with her friends and family.

Carlyn is a 4^th grader in Ms. Westmoreland’s class and this is her first performance in a musical. Outside of school, Carlyn has performed in front of thousands of people and she plays basketball, gymnastics, and is a VSCO girl. Carlyn wants to shout out her awesome parents, her teacher, her best friend, and her brothers for supporting her throughout her time in The Little Mermaid Jr.

Naisha is a 5^th grader in Ms. Difruscio’s class at Cedar Fork Elementary. Outside of school, Naisha is practicing for her dance musical, which is basically a story performed in dance form. She also takes taekwondo, and tries to study for good grades. Naisha would like to give a shout out to her family, friends, Ms. Budway, and Ms. Martinez for all of their help and support throughout her time in the Little Mermaid Jr.

Tessa is a 4^th grader in Ms. Ripley’s class. She does gymnastics, is 9 years old, and her birthday is in May. Tessa loves to play piano and takes piano lessons close to her house. Fun fact: Tessa’s favorite holiday is Christmas! She wants to thank her family and friends for supporting her.

Hanna is in Ms. Westmoreland’s 4^th grade class at Cedar Fork Elementary and is 9 years old. Hanna was born in North Carolina. She performs in the SingRays show choir. Hanna wants to give a shout out to her wonderful parents and her friends and her two big sisters.

Ciara is a 4^th grader in Ms. Ripley’s class and is originally from Miami, Florida. For almost 5 years she has been going to a performing arts camp to practice her great singing voice and awesome dance moves. Ciara wants to give a big shout out to her amazing teachers, peers, and family for supporting her in The Little Mermaid Jr., and in life!

Alyson is a 5^th grader in Ms. Irwin’s class. She loves goats, making her friends laugh, and having a good time. Alyson is very funny, energetic, and enthusiastic. Her favorite part of the musical is when she chases Sebastian (Omkar) off stage. Alyson participated in the Cedar Fork Singers chorus in 4^th grade and currently performs in the SingRays show choir. Alyson wants to shout out her amazing friends, family, and teachers for encouraging her and inspiring her to be in this performance. She hopes you will enjoy the show!

A’nijah is a 3^rd grader in Ms. Eisen’s class. A'nijah loves cheerleading and this is the first school musical she has performed in. Outside of school she loves dancing and gymnastics. A'nijah wants to shout out all of her friends that had faith in her to get a role in The Little Mermaid Jr.

Piper is a 3^rd grader in Ms. Eisen’s class at Cedar Fork Elementary. Outside of school, Piper is a purple belt in taekwondo and plays a lot of sports, including: soccer, volleyball, basketball, and baseball. Piper would like to give a shout out to her family, teachers, and friends for encouraging her to keep working hard and to do her best!

Rebecca is a 4^th grader in Ms. Jordan’s class at Cedar Fork Elementary. She is a member of the SingRays show choir. Outside of school, Rebecca takes advanced math classes at AOPS, takes swimming lessons during the summer, and skis during the winter. Rebecca has an older sister in 8^th grade and a younger sister in 1^st grade. She is very happy to perform in such a great opportunity and she is grateful for her family, teachers, and friends who have helped her along the way.

Avni is a 4^th grader in Ms. Ripley’s class at Cedar Fork Elementary. This is Avni’s first time in any singing and dancing activities at school. When she’s not at school, Avni is usually found drawing or reading another epic novel. She takes piano lessons at Cary Page Walker Arts Center and does a lot of gymnastics. Avni wants to shout out her family and Ms. Budway for encouraging her!

Taylor is a 4^th grader in Ms. Westmoreland's class and this is her first year attending Cedar Fork. Taylor has been singing in children's choir since the age of 3 years old. She loves basketball, shopping, dancing, and enjoys cheerleading. Taylor wants to shout out her awesome best friend Carlyn, her parents, and her grandparents for supporting her throughout her time in The Little Mermaid Jr!

Isha is a 3^rd grader in Ms. Webb’s class. Outside of school Isha performs in dance and has been in gymnastics for a year. Isha wants to give a shout out to her friends and family for helping her in the musical!

Ziva is a 4^th grader in Ms. Ripley’s class and she is very kind! She loves taking notes and is always trying her best. Ziva loves to play drums, is a very good dancer, and most importantly she has won many peacemaker awards!

Alexis is a 5^th grader in Ms. Brewer’s class. Last year Alexis was a member of the Cedar Fork Singers and this year she is a part of the SingRays show choir, as well as the musical. Alexis is creative, intelligent, and a natural leader. Outside of school, Alexis takes taekwondo at Vision Martial Arts. She is an extremely talented author and takes weekly lessons at Young Writers Institute, and would like to thank her instructor Ms. Casey for her skills. Her first story was written in third grade and was 27 pages long! Her favorite story, however, was done during a 2019 summer camp and was over 50 pages long!

Nithila is in 5^th grade in Ms. Hughes’ class. She is proud to be a part of The Little Mermaid Jr. Outside of school Nithila is a wonderful artist. Nithila is grateful for her mom and dad because they support her so much!

Polina is a 5^th grader in Ms. DiFruscio’s class. Polina enjoys spending time with her friends and family and her 3 pets, Red the dog, Meatball the cat, and Natalie the kitten. She also likes to eat pizza and ice cream!

Zoya is a 5^th grader in Ms. Higginbotham’s class. She is a triplet with Nikolai and Polina, who are also both performing in The Little Mermaid Jr! Zoya is from New York and has been to 5 different schools. Zoya loves history and running and she plans to go to college to major in accounting and drama.

Shriya is a 5^th grader in Ms. Higginbotham’s class at Cedar Fork Elementary and is making her debut as a princess in The Little Mermaid Jr. Outside of school she takes singing lessons and enjoys running and swimming.

Citianna is a 5^th grader in Ms. Hughes’ class at Cedar Fork Elementary. Citianna likes to do crafts and watch YouTube. She is happy to be in her favorite number in the musical, Under the Sea! Citianna would like to give a shout out to her mom because she supports her by letting her go to rehearsals after school and always being there to pick her up.
