In Language Arts this year, we will continue using the EL curriculum as it has been modified for increased accessibility for online learning. Protocols to facilitate group and partner work have been adapted and we have been hard at work considering which technology resources will be most engaging but also effective in maintaining the integrity of the course and our curriculum standards.
Students will continue to be challenged and develop their skills in order to cite evidence from both informational and literary text, make inferences and draw conclusions, write and support claims based on textual evidence , evaluate different perspectives, identify and analyze the interaction of literary elements and write analyses of various themes and ideas found within our texts.
