My name is Ms. Austin Royal and I teach 7th grade Language Arts! This is my 11th year at Heritage Middle and my 18th year teaching.
I live in Morrisville with my cat, Levi, and my dog, Gatsby! I have a 17 year old niece who will be a senior in high school! I went to Peace College and NC State where I earned my Bachelor's of Arts in English. I also have a teaching license in Theatre and I direct the spring musicals at Heritage!
My sister, my niece and I go to New York every year to tour the city and see great Broadway musicals! We are looking forward to going this year!
One of my favorite musicals is "Hamilton"! I have seen it three times!
I also LOVE the musical "Hadestown"! It tells the story of Orpheus (god of music) and Eurydice!
I love directing the musicals at Heritage Middle! Since we started in 2014, we have done "Annie", "Seussical", "Legally Blonde", "High School Musical", "Guys and Dolls" and "The Music Man"! Unfortunately, we had to cancel our performance of "Beauty and the Beast" this year.
