Hello! My name is Ajia (you pronounce it like the continent Asia) Lunsford. I am super excited to welcome you to the Carpenter Family. I will be your child's Track 4 Kindergarten Teacher. I recently graduated from North Carolina Central University in December of 2021.

Although, I am new to teaching in Wake County I have a plethora of experience working with children. I spent four years working as an Assistant Preschool Teacher, two years as a Lead Preschool Teacher, and worked almost 2 years as a Montessori Teacher Assistant. Along with student teaching with a First Grade class. With all of my combined experience, I have developed a teaching philosophy that will help each child grow academically, socially, and emotionally this school year.

A little more about me, I am a mom to an energetic and charming three-year-old boy, Wyatt. He keeps me on my toes and ready to run. I am also the oldest of five siblings and love taking care of others. I spend my free time roller skating (very badly LOL), cooking, painting, and spending time with my family. I have always found myself enjoying helping teach children even from a young age. Now I can do what I love every day with a smile on my face. In my classroom we are family and I welcome you with open arms. We are going to have the best school year ever!
