Class Expectations and Behavior Management
There are many positive reinforcements used in the classroom. Our main classroom management tool is Super Sloth Bucks. Students use these bucks to purchase items from the class store. If a student loses a class buck due to not meeting expectations, this buck will be stapled in his/her agenda for a parent/guardian to sign. Mrs. Nussbaum or the student will write a note as to why the buck was lost.
Expectations- Students will come up with our class rules on the first day. We will sign these rules as part of our class contract.
Our classroom has a calming corner with directions. If a student is feeling overwhelmed or needs a moment to calm down, he or she can hold up the signal, and go to the calming corner for a few minutes.
