A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME!

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to 5th grade and tell you a little about myself.

I graduated from SUNY New Paltz in NY a long time ago. My husband, Brian, and I relocated to Holly Springs, in ‘97 and have two children; Justin (25) and Kylie (22), along with several pets including 3 dogs and two cats. I have been teaching 5th grade in Wake County for the past 24 years. We are a very active, sports-loving family. When I have time, I love to read, go hiking, walk the dogs and spend time with friends.

Just as I do for my own children, I set high expectations for ALL of the children in my classroom. I strive to give students the support they need in order to be successful. Students will learn social skills as well as academic skills this school year. They will become responsible for their own behavior and learning. We will work together as a class to create a positive and safe learning environment.
