Below you will find the list of steps that must be completed in order for you to be considered as a member of this year's TSA Club.
Pre-Qualification Test will be on Thursday September 19 from 3:15 PM to 5:00 PM in Mr. Sweeney's TechEd Room 1615.
All parts of your application, including the teacher recommendations, must be submitted by 3:00 PM on Monday, September 23rd. Due to the large interest in the club, applications will not be accepted after the deadline.
2024-2025 Club Members will be announced on Monday, 9/30. Members will be notified by email.

Your first step is to completely fill in the online google form application. Access this application by clicking the button below. All parts of the application must be completed in order for your application to be considered for TSA Club.
Note: Students are responsible for completing the application themselves. They must use their student account to access the forms.
Your next step is to print a copy of the parent information letter, review the letter with your parent(s), and return the signed letter to Mr. Sweeney by Monday, September 23. You can access the letter by clicking on the button below.
Your next step is to ask TWO of your teachers from LAST year to complete the teacher recommendation form (6th grade may ask teachers from current year). Again this should be requested by the student applicant. You can view the form by clicking on the link below. Copy the link and email it to your teachers requesting politely that they complete by the Monday September 23 deadline.
STEP 4
The final step in the application process is to complete the TSA Club eligibility test. The test will cover general problem solving strategies and concepts.
The test will take place on Thursday 9/19 and can be taken between 3:15 to 5:00 PM in Mr. Sweeney's classroom 1615
What to study for the qualification test:
Review all information and details on the North Carolina TSA website (nctsa.org) including the information on the Home and About tabs as well as the Middle School competitive events on the Resources tab.
Know the TSA motto as well as what TSA stands for (the acronym).
Understand the mission and purpose of a CTSO.
Familiarize yourself with who can become a TSA member.
Be aware of how CTE programs are funded.
Review the information on Mr. Sweeney's TSA website.
The test is 20 questions: a combination of multiple choice and true/false. You will have two minutes to answer each question.
You must bring your school-issued Chromebook to take the test. If you are not able to take the test at that time, email Mr. Sweeney (RSweeney@wcpss.net) for alternate arrangements. All parts of the application must be completed by 3:00 PM on Monday, September 23.
