On March 3, 1913, thousands marched in Washington, D.C., demanding a voice and a future for women in America. Their courage changed history.
Today, our theatre students carry that same spirit — using their voices to tell stories that matter.
To honor the anniversary of the 1913 Women’s March on Washington, the MCHS Theatre Department is launching a fundraising campaign to support student productions, technical theatre opportunities, and access for all students.
Your donation will directly support costumes, sets, lighting, student leadership opportunities, and the ability to produce meaningful work on our stage.
If you believe in the power of student voices and storytelling, please consider contributing.
Together, we can turn history into action.
Middle Creek High School has been selected as one of the first schools in the country—and the first in North Carolina—to produce Shaina Taub’s groundbreaking Broadway musical Suffs.
Set in the early 1900s, Suffs tells the powerful true story of the women and young activists who fought for the right to vote, shining a light on the courage, conflict, and collaboration that fueled real social change.
Winning the Tony for both Original Score and Book of a Musical this powerful story is filled with both beautiful music and heartfelt characters and relationships.
You don't want to miss this one!
Classes are offered during the day and provide the BEST opportunity for students to grow both in their theatrical skills, as well as a as a member of the Theatre Community here at Middle Creek!
Our two clubs allow students to get involved in a less time consuming way. Drama Club is open to all MCHS students and only meets once a month. No attendance is required, and all students are invited to come and have fun! Learn more about ITS on the ITS page.
After school productions allow students to take a play from the page to the stage. Rehearsals are after school, and auditions or applications are required for student involvement. Given that this is a co-curricular activity preference will be given to students enrolled in Theatre Classes at MCHS. All students are welcome to audition or apply for crew positions.
