The buttons below will take you directly to your art elective's weekly agenda and postings.
All of my quarter art electives are in-person, thus we are all hands-on in the art classroom. I am offering some Canvas landing pages for easy access to all our useful tools and resources in Art, including links to the Art Club website and the Artsonia upload launch page for students. Students who need to make up any assignments will be able to find them here on our Visual Electives Website -- the home to all of our weekly agendas and day-to-day tasks. So book mark your grade level daily agenda page!
Students are expected to turn in final art projects by uploading quality photos to their Artsonia Digital Portfolio, a process that we review early in the course. Developing their digital portfolio is so important as this will be an asset and a tool for them until they graduate from high school, and beyond.
I am presenting our art assignments in a variety of ways to appeal to different types of learners, whether we are constructing a project in class or researching artists and visiting museums independently online. I can assist students while navigating different virtual platforms and using tools that may be new to us in Art. In summary, we are learning new and exciting protocols for turning in projects, documenting artwork and reflections, as well as adding to personal digital art portfolios that will ultimately serve all students in preparation for the workplace.
So glad to welcome Lufkin students and families to Art this year!
